A Celebrant is someone who conducts ceremonies for all of life's events but is not constrained by content type or venue so will work with you to truly create a script that is unique to you.
Whilst it is not a legal requirement for celebrants to have undertaken training Cosmos Ceremonies is proud to have trained with the International Ciollege of Professional Celebrants.
Cosmos Ceremonies will ensure you have the ceremony of your wishes, making the day all about you and not about the tiresome legal aspects which can be left to the council registrars.
Current legislation (which is under review) means that celebrants cannot at this time legally marry you, however following completion of the legal paperwork with a 2+2 Cosmos Ceremonies will be able to facilitate your special ceremony in the way you choose and at any venue of your choosing (with permission from the land owner).
Most couples have a 2+2 at the registry office and follow on later the same day with their full and special wedding ceremony where all invited family and guests can attend.
This is a ceremony where you and your partner attend the registry office with two witnesses, make the basic statutory declarations and sign your marriage certificate.
You have a statutory right to this service as it completes the legal obligations of your marriage at minimal cost while freeing you up to have the bespoke ceremony you require with Cosmos Ceremonies.

Whilst this varies, in general a wedding ceremony is 20 -30 minutes including entrance and exit to maintain your focus and the attention of guests.
A funeral is similar duration, however all timings will be discussed with you.
I have had my professional training by the International College of Professional Celebrants and ensure my knowledge and skills are maintained through ongoing professional development.
I also have a working lifetime of experience in the NHS; wrote the full script for my own Civil Partnership in 2020 and have written and delivered numerous ceremony scripts.
Public liability and professional indemnity is provided via ICPC
Prices reflect the market rate and are indicative of the time required meeting with families and of creating a script that is truly personal and not 'off the shelf'.
